These Terms govern use of the Earnt website and the Earnt application. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. ABOUT EARNT
Earnt is a personal and professional organisation tool developed by Dhekstro. It helps record work, payments, documents, entities, and deadlines. Earnt does not provide legal, tax, employment, accounting, financial, or medical advice.
The iOS 1.0 version requires iOS 17.6 or later and is available for iPhone. The iOS version currently supports English, Portuguese (Portugal), Portuguese (Brazil), Latin American Spanish, and French.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCEPTANCE
You may use Earnt only if you have legal capacity to accept these Terms. If you use Earnt on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to do so.
3. USE AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR DATA
You are responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness, and appropriateness of data you enter, import, or attach. You must ensure that you have the right to store and process personal data, documents, or third-party content.
Reports and exports are generated from user-provided data. You must review them before using, sending, or presenting them to third parties.
4. LOCAL STORAGE, BACKUPS, AND RESTORE
Earnt is local-first. In the iOS version, records and files remain locally on the iPhone unless you choose to export or share them. In the iOS version's Settings you can create a Local Backup and restore it later. The iOS 1.0 version does not include Cloud Sync, automatic cross-device synchronization, or OCR as an Earnt service.
Deleting the app, deleting data inside the app, and deleting previously exported files are separate operations. A backup is not an absolute guarantee against data loss, corruption, or incompatibility.
5. EXPORTS AND SHARING
When you export a PDF Dossier, Case Summary, Proof Export, or Local Backup, you choose the destination through device sharing features. Once a file leaves Earnt, its use and security depend on you and the services or applications you select.
6. PLANS AND PURCHASES
Earnt offers the Standard plan, Pro Lifetime, and Export Pack. The Standard plan is subject to limits in five areas of use: 1 active case, 1 entity, 15 work logs, 5 documents, and 3 deadlines. Among the paid options, Pro Lifetime is the primary option: it is a one-time non-consumable purchase, includes Export Pack, and removes all five Standard limits. Export Pack is the more limited alternative: it is a one-time non-consumable purchase that unlocks PDF Dossier, Case Summary, and Proof Export while Standard limits still apply.
In the iOS version, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Prices, taxes, billing, and refunds are subject to Apple's rules and applicable law. The app provides Restore Purchases to re-check eligible purchases associated with the App Store account. Earnt does not promise that a purchase made on one platform will transfer to another.
7. APP LICENCE
The version distributed through the App Store is licensed, not sold, and is also subject to Apple's applicable licence agreement. These Terms do not replace rights or obligations arising under that agreement.
8. PROHIBITED USE
- Using Earnt for unlawful purposes or to infringe third-party rights
- Attempting to compromise, bypass, or interfere with app or website security
- Distributing malicious code or using the service for abusive activity
- Impersonating another person or deliberately presenting false information as authentic
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Earnt brand, software, design, and website materials belong to Dhekstro or their respective owners. You retain rights in data and content you enter, and you do not grant Earnt commercial exploitation rights over that content.
10. AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES
We may fix errors, update the app, change technical requirements, improve functionality, or discontinue versions, features, or availability of the service where legally permitted. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or permanent support for older operating-system versions. Any change or discontinuation remains subject to mandatory consumer rights. Material changes to these Terms will be published on this page with an updated date.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, Dhekstro is not responsible for decisions based on inaccurate data, absence of backups, use of exports as a substitute for professional advice, or third-party services selected by the user.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights under the law of the country where the consumer resides.
13. ANDROID
The Android version of Earnt is in development and is not yet publicly available. Features, commercial availability, and platform-specific conditions will be confirmed before launch.
