INDEPENDENT
WORK.
YOUR RECORDS.

For a freelancer in Portugal, keeping your own work and payment records can make day-to-day organization easier even when invoicing and accounting live in other systems.
This content is organizational and is not tax, legal or employment advice. For legal obligations in Portugal, use official sources or qualified professional advice.

Keep organization separate from accounting

Earnt can help organize cases, hours, payments, documents and deadlines. That is different from issuing invoices, calculating taxes or filing declarations.

Record the value and currency of the work

When work has an agreed value, keep it in the corresponding case. If you work in EUR and other currencies, keep each case in its original currency and reconcile the actual payments you received.

Document the service history

Dates, hours, notes, documents and deadlines linked to the same case make later review easier. The goal is to reduce information scattered across apps.

Make local backups

An Earnt backup is a file exported by the user. Keep it somewhere you control and understand that deleting the app, deleting local data and deleting an exported file are separate actions.
