COMMON ISSUES

I can't open the app — it's asking for Face ID every time
Face ID lock is enabled in your settings. Go to Settings → Security → Face ID Lock and toggle it off if you'd prefer not to use it. If Face ID fails repeatedly, iOS may ask for your device passcode as a fallback.
My data disappeared after updating the app
Earnt data is stored in your device's Application Support directory, which is separate from the app itself. Updates should not affect your data. If data is missing, check whether your device was restored from a backup. Contact support@dhekstro.com with details and we'll help investigate.
How do I back up my Earnt data?
Use Settings → Data → Export All Data to download a JSON file of your data. Store it somewhere safe — Files app, iCloud Drive, or email it to yourself. You can also use Settings → Data → Export to create a backup before major changes.
I purchased Pro but the app still shows Free limits
Go to Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases. This tells the app to re-verify your purchase with Apple. If the issue persists, force-close the app, wait 30 seconds, and reopen it. If it still doesn't resolve, contact us with your Apple ID purchase receipt.
My PDF export is blank or incomplete
This can happen if the case has no work logs or documents attached. Ensure the case contains at least one entry before exporting. If the PDF is genuinely incomplete when it shouldn't be, contact us with the iOS version and a description of what's missing.
Notifications aren't working
Check that Earnt has notification permission: iOS Settings → Earnt → Notifications → Allow Notifications. Also ensure notifications are enabled inside Earnt: Settings → Notifications. Deadlines must have "Reminder" enabled individually to trigger notifications.
How do I delete all my data?
Go to Settings → Data → Delete All Data. This action is permanent and cannot be undone. We recommend exporting your data first. Deleting the app from your device will also remove all local data.
Can I use Earnt on iPad or Mac?
Earnt is currently iPhone only. iPad and Mac versions are not planned for the immediate future.
I want a refund
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot process refunds directly.
